The little bird that didn’t fly.

Once upon a time, there was a little bird who lived in a cage that was never locked.

The little bird was forever gazing at the world outside the cage, wishing to fly freely in the blue sky.

“O how I longed for my freedom. I want to explore the world. It will be fun.”

“Life here is boring. It is a disappointment. Life is so unfair.”

The bird never knew – to gain the freedom it longed for, all it takes is to give the door a gentle nudge. It assumed the cage is locked.

A short story triggered by the never-ending whinings of a designer.
Bad assumption that costs the opportunity of a lifetime.
